As we continue to expand our cultural presence, we are seeking a Senior Manager of Social Media & Activations to own our organic social media strategy as well as the creative development of new digital content programs and activations. The role will work to develop digital content plans, strategic proposals, and activations that align with GLD’s editorial and business propositions. This role is ideal for a strategic, detail-oriented, and hands-on brand leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to lead channel growth and engagement through content excellence & strategic intent, all while delivering on our goals and important metrics that push the brand forward. You will report to the Director of Partnerships and Events.

Senior Manager, Social Media & Activations

Key Responsibilities


- End-to-End Project Management & Channel Execution

- Lead the development and execution of best-in-class organic social media strategy across all platforms. This includes platform strategy, content strategy, community management, campaign planning, and social calendars to support overarching brand strategies.

- Build and expand upon GLD’s engaging and differentiated brand via a content strategy that continuously raises the bar on overall brand impact.

- Oversee the full lifecycle of activations and campaigns across all platforms, from ideation to execution, ensuring all initiatives are delivered seamlessly.

- Create and manage detailed project timelines, budgets, and production schedules for both large-scale initiatives (e.g., Rolling Loud, Super Bowl events) and smaller brand moments.

- Develop a strategic framework for assessing and implementing content and programs that grow loyal audiences, brand awareness, and cultural equity.

- Increase existing channels for growth and identify the right emerging platforms to invest in to continue to develop communities & connect with new audiences.

- Regularly interface with executive leadership, creative, and external partners to gain buy-in on brand content strategies.

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining a high standard for creative excellence.

- Ensure a seamless brand experience across all social touchpoints, while maintaining flexibility to adapt and evolve content to meet platform-specific nuances.

Content Production


- Ensure the right talent, videographers, and content creators are engaged for every activation, guaranteeing high-quality content capture.

- Work closely with broader marketing and creative teams, to align on deliverables, ensuring activations serve both brand-building and content needs.

- Lead post-activation wrap-ups, ensuring content is delivered on time and in the correct format for digital distribution.

- Develop and manage the end-to-end program calendar across all GLD content streams, leveraging existing plans, cultural moments and audience data and analytics to maximize the value of programming.
- Identify gaps and opportunities in content programming and work across the organization to develop strategies that deliver shared goals. Cross-Functional Leadership & Executional Excellence

- Effectively project manage across diverse stakeholders (Creative, Merch, Retention, external partners, etc.) on creation of new concepts.

- Partner with the creative team to support editorial standards and copy guidelines across all touchpoints, ensuring a consistent voice, tone, and level of quality.

- Manage relationships with external vendors and internal creative teams, fostering collaboration and excellence across both high-budget and nimble, fast-turn projects.

- Manage a team of editors, content creators and other third-party vendors, setting high standards for execution, accountability, and problem-solving.

- Work cross-functionally to support the needs of broad based brand campaigns, regularly cadenced announcements, brand impact moments, and relevant news.

- Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all partners are aligned on objectives and deliverables.

- Partner closely with brand & marketing and communications teams to build support plans for top business priorities/initiatives. Performance Measurement &

Optimization


- Develop a comprehensive framework for measuring the success of social media and its impact on the business.

- Establish and track KPIs for activations, including engagement, content performance, and ROI.

- Develop post-activation reports and recommendations, ensuring learnings are applied to future activations.

- Continuously optimize processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.

Qualifications


- 5+ years of experience in brand and marketing, with a focus on social media, content development, or strategic content marketing, preferably in fashion, streetwear, or lifestyle brands.

- A strong track record of spearheading launches, activations or campaigns that drove significant business results.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

- You have a deep understanding of building and curating editorial content strategy, identifying talent for original content, curating and producing assets, and planning cross-platform distribution that drive unique engagement and performance metrics.

- You keep up with cultural moments, trends, and pop culture across music, fashion, and sports to identify strategic opportunities and moments that amplify the brand value of programming.

- Hands-on, problem-solving mentality—able to handle unexpected challenges with creativity and speed.

- Experience collaborating across marketing, product/merchandising, and brand teams to ensure a unified vision across channels.

- An ability to produce work that moves at the speed of culture, seamlessly integrating GLD into the conversation.

- Excellent budget management, operational and negotiation skills.

- Willingness to travel for on-site event execution.
